The 2006/2007 6-8 Winner!
Florida kids achieved a Guinness World Record! We read a page aloud together at middle schools across the state in October 2006 for the "Most People Reading Aloud Simultaneously".
Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry communicated by email to write this adventure. Which one wrote the dark characters and which one wrote the humorous parts? Find out what kind of stories they wrote before their venture into juvenile literature and make an intelligent guess!
Mr. Pearson's daughter was the inspiration for this story as she asked her dad questions about Peter Pan when he was reading it to her. He teamed up with Mr. Barry to invent some imaginative answers. If you like to see mysteries solved, live vicariously through fast paced adventure and laugh out loud, this book is a great choice. If it leaves you with unanswered questions or you just didn't get enough, read the sequel, Peter and the Shadow Thieves.

This is one of the better adventure novels for young adults that I have read in quite some time. It has everything a great novel should have; well thought out plot, interactive dialouge and creatively developed characters that anyone can relate to. Great for a group reading or alone.

As we all know, fiction can increase your imagination. When we were younger most people have heard the amazing tale of Peter Pan. This book is something that should answer your questions about how Peter Pan became who he is today. This book is an imaginative, flabbergasting, miraculous book to read. WE CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT!!!!!!
Its full of adventure and laughs. Middle school students might not like it. Historical. Id give this book a 3

This book is very interesting. Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry wrote this book as a sequal to Peter Pan only this book "Peter and the Starcatchers" makes the story Peter Pan more understanding, it uses more detail!i thought it was a funny story it had alot of funny characteres in it and it was a really good book.
Most people can't relate to him because he's magic!!!
Peter and the Starcatchers was a extraodinary book. It was full of adventure, comedy, and romance. WE just couldnt put this marvelous book down. This book answered all of our unsolved questions about the historic novel Peter Pan. It inspired us to begin writing stories of our own.
the group above this blog name is
THE DANCING BIRDS!
This book is fantasy and most people like fantasy books. None of us can really relate to the main character, Peter. Why read fiction? It's normally more interesting than non-fiction. Some of us have read this book and rates the book a 4, the rest of us haven't read it but really want to because we all like to read.
The People
Peter and the Starcatchers was an interesting book. It had really exciting parts to it. Peter is a really brave kid. 4 out of 5.
Peter and the Starcatchers is a great book. Every middle school student should read this book. I rate it a 4. This is a really great book to read. it part of a great series. This is also an easy read.
KAC Says
It was a great prequel to Peter Pan. It had much more action and was easier to get into than other stories based on children's movies. It was cool how they explained the major characters (Peter and Hook) and how a certain crocodile got loose and angry (Mister Grin).
A middle school kid might like this book because its adventurous. The main characters are Peter and Molly. NO we can not relate to the book. This book is historical. Fiction is imagination. The point is to tell how perter pan became peter pan. Belive in imagination. We give this book a 5. I've heard it's a great book.
This book was great because it was very adventureus. also i remeber reading a little part of it for the world record thing for central flroida. GO MUSTANGS!
